Stops the person contacting you or coming near your home, your work or your children’s school. It costs nothing, and police can start one at any hour.
Financial help to leave an unsafe home. Up to $1,000, plus help with a rental damage deposit.
Free or low cost legal help after family violence. Lawyers can act on protection orders, family law and court.
Lets you end a rental lease early without paying the penalty.
Up to ten days of unpaid, job protected leave for employees who need time away for their safety.
Temporary, confidential care for your animals. The Alberta SPCA covers the cost.
