Expect to have a blast in the Race Village and on the course! Our team knows how to party – that includes our sponsors, vendors, staff, and volunteers. We can’t wait for you to join us!

Emmonia

“Calling all Punk-Rockers, the Queen of Scene is ready to party. Mixing elements of glam and grunge, Emmonia has established herself as Edmonton’s Queen of all things alternative! With ample hosting experience, she also has multiple titles under her belt from “Break-through Performer” at the 2021 Stilletto Awards to “Scream Ghoul Edmonton” 2021. From campy costumes to high energy concepts, Emmonia is ready to bring the “WOW” factor!”
“Participating in the JMMF Break Free 5/10k Run & Walk is important to me as it is essential to be Queer and proud in public spaces! Growing up as an athlete from a small town I had to hide my queerness in order to be accepted by my teammates and peers out of fear of being discriminated against. Now as a 23 year-old Drag Queen raised in St. Albert I get to show and inspire others that being Queer and proud is the most punk-rock thing you can do!” — Emmonia

Gemma Nye

“hi hi, it’s Gemma Nye ✨ A kaleidoscope of glitter and hairspray, this non-binary drag clown has been performing across Canada since 2018. Gemma snatched the Stiletto Award for Best Host in the 2022 Stilettos, proving why they’re the hostex with the mostex! This artist creates every look using upcycled and secondhand materials – now THAT’s penny wise. The circus is in town, so get down to clown with Gemma Nye!”

“Party Queens’ partnership with the JMMF Break Free 5/10K Run & Walk is so important to us because right now more than ever, it’s critical to include 2SLGBTQIA+ voices and show what a bright light our community can shine! We are excited to encourage inclusion and diversity in a positive way through this event and show that we are stronger together!”
— Gemma Nye

Mike Cameron – MC

Mike Cameron is the author of “Becoming a Better Man” a personal memoir and guide for men who want a better path. His twenty-five years of experience in sales and leadership have made him an authority on the impact of emotion on behaviour. After the tragic murder of his girlfriend in 2015, Mike sold his business to focus on empowering a community of emotionally connected leaders among men.

His TEDx talk, “Redefining Badass: The Way Men Think of Strong Is Wrong” challenges societal norms about masculinity. In 2018, his CBC Op-Ed, “Dear Men,” challenged men to do more, and was shared over 125,000 times. Mike founded Connect’d Men, an organization dedicated to creating spaces for men to practice emotional fitness, and co-founded the Ignore No More Run for Respect, raising awareness of gender-based violence.

Mike is passionate about teaching men the art of emotional connection. He knows that emotionally connected men don’t kill people.

His two adult children inspire him to continue to become a better man, a father, and a leader.
